Lese – Sweep (Infinity Filter) v1.4.0 for WiN

Sweep is where it all began. What started as Max Patch in 2018 eventually evolved into this (and it’s Lese’s first plugin). Using the same algorithms that sound engineers use to create shepard tones and risset filters, Sweep uses multiple filters to create the sensation of a sound endlessly fading in (or fading out). In Sweep’s case, the left and right channels can be split and controlled separately for a more complex, stereo sweeping effect.

Intuitive Controls

Instead of manipulating the behavior of filters across the frequency spectrum with a multitude of complex controls, Sweep takes a simple approach: drag the “factor” sliders, like in a graphic equalizer, and the filter bank will follow the curve you create.

Randomness is cool

Sweep has a built-in random noise generator that can slightly increase or decrease filter values depending on how the noise feels at the moment. Adjust the Phase parameter to customize the action type in each specific case, and increase the Complexity parameter to change the random movement from slow and subtle to fast and complex.

Peculiarities

  • Curve-based band amplitude control
  • Optimized DSP processing system for peak/notch filters (up to 16 bands per channel)
  • A distribution function that allows the bands to be distributed linearly
  • Fractal noise based frequency randomization system
  • Vectorized, resizable interface
