I got the AU working. But it didnt install a .aax file… In omnisphere 2 the aax was a wrap of the .au. Dont know if it still the same architecture on 3…

Usually the original omnisphere 3 installer should be enough to install the .aax and when the .au is authorize the.aax will work.

Can someone upload or send me and original installer of the omnisphere 3, where i can select the .aax install or even the Omnisphere.aaxplugin file, that should work for us Protools users.

Thanks for the upload! 🙂

Found this in the WIN section:
Your PC must be temporarily offline. Then, press REQUEST AUTHORIZATION. Now, look in your browser for the offline URL that opens. If you see something like &ch=, you need to copy and paste
everything after the = into your keygen. Open your keygen, select Omnisphere 3, generate it, then
copy and paste the license into the Omnisphere form.

Hi,
There’s a text explaining evrything !

0. Install Omnisphere 3                         |
|  1. Open Omnisphere – the authorization screen will appear
|  2. Click “If your computer is not connected to the
|   internet, click here to copy your Authorization link.”
|  3. The URL will be copied to your clipboard
|  4. Paste the URL somewhere (like a text editor)
|  5. Find “ch=” in the URL
|  6. Copy everything after “ch=” until the end
|  7. Paste what you copied into r2r keygen
|  8. Authorize and enjoy it!

From what I read in another forum, you gotta get Omnisphere 2 with library working on your computer FIRST; and then install V3 and library on top of it.. I’m downloading now and will confirm this is the case

not work this way (here)

I did it this way:
better rename the old Omnisphere 2 library to something else before
and make a backup. that you can try
delete from the old Library2 this parts:

(Setting library Multis): delete
Factory
User

(Setting library Patches): delete
Factory
Mutations
User
Current Categories.zip

(Setting library Presets): delete
Factory
User

(Setting library): delete
User Tags

(Soundsource): delete
Factory

(Soundsource User): delete
zmap.index

(Wavetables) delete in old

-then place the parts in correct new Folders in new Library
-refresh multi in Muti Browser (the circle sign on the right bottom)
-refresh patches in Patch Browser (the circle sign on the right bottom)
-reopen Omnsiphere

for me this have worked and the 140GB work well
just one needed relinstall the install.omnisphere, because some not so clever did put data in the factory

good luck and enjoy

I have omnisphere 2 installed with steam folder on my SDD. I see this is stems download i,m confused does that get added to steam folder for Omnisphere 2?

Ok. After downloading the “Stems”, which is the Omnisphere 3.0 library, I MERGED the content from this download with the Steam folder already in my system. So far so good.

Then I installed Omnisphere 3 over top of my 2.8.x installation. Worked fine here! R2R instructions suggest doing the authorization with standalone Omni application but it did not initially open up for me.

So I opened my daw (Cubase) and loaded an instance of Omnisphere and voila, auth screen shows up and I followed R2R instructions. I opened the keygen with crossover and all is working well so far.

If someone has a Omnisphere.aaxplugin file (of omnisphere 3) that can be sent to me, so I can test if the .aax plugin its a wrapper of the .au like it was in Omnisphere 2?
If yes, answer to this post here and i sent you my email.

M1 2021
macOS 26.1 Tahoe
Logic Pro 11.2.2
Ableton 12.2.1

works excellent as standalone and AU here

-be offline
-install Plug-in
-open standalone or au
-you see the the registration page
-press request authorization
-a website try to open (stay offline)
-look at the adress and use the signs at end behind “…ch=” as code
-use keygen and set to omnisphere 3, generate the answer code
-copy the code and paste it in the Omnisphere Response
-press continue

  • then put the Factory STEAM to the right place (Mac)
  • show hidden folders – press “command” + “shift” + “.”
  • find that address

‘/Users/”your username”/Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics/STEAM’

Put in that STEAM Folder the Folder “Omnisphere”:
(withe this folders)
Defaults
Setting Library
Soundsource
Wavetables

Don’t just copy or replace in the old Omnisphere Folder – this not work, because new Factory Structure for Omnsiphere 3

-Then open omnisphere again, click in the presets of multi in the middle
-choose on the left side all in category “view all categories”
-then press on the right bottom side the refresh circle arrow
-close that library view

-click in the Patch presets in the middle
-choose on the left side all in category “view all” (at the bottom)
-then press again on the right bottom side the refresh circle arrow
-close that library view

close Omnisphere and reload the Plugin or start omnisphere again
now all works ! and you will have fun

Same error over here unfortunately, standalone not working on mac os Sequoia 15.7.1
Also Bob Moog library not showing up. Vst is working properly in Logic pro, Ableton and Bitwig. Somebody knows how to get standalone version to work and where to install the Bob Moog library correctly to get it to work? Thanks!

So, did everyone who successfully installed version 3 do a clean install? Did you completely uninstall version 2 beforehand? Back up the old Steam first, of course—I mean the app itself and the associated library files.

I uninstalled EVERYTHING that was Omnisphere 2 on the C drive. Then installed Omnisphere 3. Had no issues. Everything works very good. I have an extensive library of 3rd party presets and they work flawlessly with Omnisphere 3. All the Sonic extentions also work with NO issues.

I haven’t tried loading Keyscape, Moog or Trillian yet…..

Same here! Also Keyscape, Moog and Trilian are working! The only thing I don’t understand is that the standalone version is not working unfortunately. Do you maybe have any idea how to fix that..?

Initially not remembering selected preset when reloading project file, but then did the bottom two sections of refreshing the library – what mBee tells you in this stream – and that did the trick. THANK YOU for the upload, it’s awesome and working perfectly. chuffed!

I got it to authorize and it works in my DAW (Cubase Pro ) but the stand alone doesn’t work.

The Omnisphere.component plugin exists at the correct location, but cannot be loaded. Restarting your system may resolve this issue.

I don’t know how to fix that. Any help is greatly appreciated!

sudo xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/Omnisphere.component
