Six years ago Spitfire released Solo Strings, one of our first libraries. Since then, we’ve collected over 2500 hours of sampling experience, so we knew it was time to review these important tools. They can add personality and definition to writing large strings, as well as capture soaring solos, whether for film, games, or pop music. Think of John Williams’ solo violin for Schindler’s List, Arvo Pärt’s Brotherhood, John Corigliano’s Red Violin, or the cello with the theme “Game of Thrones.”
