Phrasebox is a phrase arpeggiator that lets you create expressive sequences from MIDI chords.

With a DAW-like piano ribbon, Phrasebox offers extensive playback control that goes far beyond traditional step arpeggiators. Played notes are displayed in the editor lines according to customizable rules, allowing you to select notes by pitch, time, strength, or randomly. You can also add static notes with a fixed pitch.

Each phrase can contain an unlimited number of lines, each with its own rules for selecting notes. Modifiers such as transposition and MIDI channels allow you to create multi-level complex sequences.

The powerful editor allows advanced editing of phrases, including repeating notes, variable-length strings, and phrases of any length and time signature. The controller editor supports multiple automation lines with multi-channel output and detailed curve adjustment.

Additional features include a key-binding mode for saving scale transpositions, flexible playback modes, and a phrase generation tool for instant inspiration.
