This panel contains detailed controls that allow you to customize specific parts of your baby (like the Kick, Snare, or other parts). Here you will find such subtleties as multi-band EQs, compression, distortion, tape simulation, our new Tone Desiqner and Transient Shaper modules, and much more.

Find the perfect beat

Addictive Drums 2 is more than just great drum sounds for your music. It is also a collection of outstanding rhythms and grooves performed by professional drummers. Even if you are an experienced drum pro, you will definitely find inspiration here. The only thing better than these rhythms is hiring a professional drummer, going to the studio, and recording for hours.

On this page, you can browse through all the rhythms to find your inspiration. If you have a specific rhythm in mind, it is very easy to find it in your collection with the Grid Search tool. And if you want to change an existing rhythm to make it unique, the powerful Beat Transform system will help you with this. And when you find a beat you like, just drag it onto the host timeline. Easy!

Add effects to your drums

The FX panel contains two Delerb effects. This excellent effects processor combines delay and reverb effects in one place and allows you to expand the sonic envelope. With two of them at your disposal, you will have no shortage of options when creating exciting sounds.

Find new ways to use your kits

ExploreMaps lets you browse through all ADpaks and auditoins and choose from professionally described presets. Each preset includes a beat specifically designed to show that preset in its best light. You can also audition ADpaks you don’t have yet to see what they have to offer!

Trig Gate Effect

The new Trig Gate effect lets you change the sound of your drums while ensuring the gate is triggered perfectly on every hit. No need to adjust threshold settings – the gate is triggered perfectly on the drums’ internal MIDI notes.

Compressor “Boost” Mode

Make your drums hit harder with the push of a button. The new “Boost” mode adds a new level of punch and attack to your beats thanks to XLN-approved multi-band compression specifically designed for drums.

Even better EQ

The EQ now features clear, real-time visual feedback on all frequencies in the signal. Settings are clearly visible, making them easier and more precise.

Beat Transformer

Transform and reimagine your beats with the powerful Beat Transformer. Completely change your performance with the turn of a knob, without touching MIDI. Swing accents will add serious groove, or the perfect human feel with just the right amount of sloppy timing and randomness in the performance.

Installation

1. Place the Addictive Drums 2 folder in a convenient location. Run the AD2_Library_Placer.exe file from this folder.
2. Install Addictive Drums 2 Complete.
3. Run XLN_Key*en.exe > “GET” > “Register (WIN)”
